Venom F5: next-level exclusivity from Hennessey

TEXAS-BASED high performance vehicle manufacturer Hennessey Special Vehicles has trumped its competition with a new ‘Stealth Series’ ultra-limited trio of the makers 1355kW Venom F5 hyper car.

The recent Monterey Car Week was where Hennessey launch the new cars in an event that celebrated intricate, skilled craftsmanship and “the finest, most elaborate individualisation options.”

Just three models are to be built to the exclusive Stealth Series specification, and all were sold before the iconic Monterey event.

The Stealth Series was only available on track-focused Revolution models balancing exposed carbon-fibre in black and tinted forms with painstakingly hand-painted body panels.

Making a high-tech statement, the exposed carbon fibre runs from the nose-mounted ‘H-badge’ down the entire spine of the hypercar.

The strong, lightweight material’s “reveal” initially broadening to meet the windscreen before flowing over the roof and narrowing “organically” past the engine cover of the 6.6-litre twin-turbocharged Fury engine ending at the trailing edge of the rear deck above the mid-mounted quad tailpipes.

Hennessey says beyond the meticulous engineering and construction of the car and its powertrain, each Stealth model requires around 2350 hours just creating the svelte body and chassis.

A further 650 to 750 hours are required to complete each complex paint treatment.

“Artisans hand lay the cosmetic carbon-fibre, hand paint every exterior panel, painstakingly upholster every piece of the dash, seats, and doors, embroider the ‘Hennessey’ script, and include personalised easter eggs – unique to each customer,” a Hennessey spokesperson said in a statement.

Adding weight to the company’s bespoke manufacturing reputation, every detail is considered in the utmost detail by Hennessey’s design team, from using the finest hand-laid carbon-fibre found anywhere in the automotive industry, to the imperceptible surface changes from exposed carbon, to paint, to accent colour on the bodywork.

Hennessey has ensured exclusivity with just three of the uniquely American models making up the ultra-exclusive series of Venom F5 hypercars.

The three are part of the 99-car total Venom F5 production run and were sold at The Quail event during Monterey Car Week.

“Everyone knows that the Venom F5 is the most extreme, powerful, and visceral pure-combustion hypercar in the world, but the real selling point for our customers is the craftsmanship, quality, beauty, and attention to detail,” said Hennessey founder and CEO John Hennessey.

“Combining all these elements into the Stealth Series creates a unique art piece that celebrates the finest craftsmanship alongside raw, visceral, unapologetic American horsepower.”

Creating next level one-upmanship Hennessey’s design team works closely with Stealth Series owners to curate a specification that will achieve “immortality through careful, thoughtful personalisation”.

This was displayed on the Monterey cars with unique features such as tinted carbon-fibre inside and out, body colour-matched brake callipers and personal racing numbers ghosted into the carbon-fibre.

“In creating the unique specification for the limited-edition Venom F5 Stealth Series, we were inspired by the hypercar’s aerodynamic form and the beauty, authenticity, and craftsmanship of its exposed carbon-fibre,” said Hennessey director of design Nathan Malinick.

“The Stealth Series is a ‘best of both worlds’ presentation of exquisite, exposed carbon-fibre and world-class, impactful paintwork that accentuates the F5’s form.”

During Monterey Car Week the Hennessey display featured a Revolution Roadster and Revolution Coupe version of the Stealth Series cars. The third Stealth Series model was a Venom F5 Revolution coupe.

Hennessey says distinguishing the track-honed Revolution from its regular Coupe sibling is a full-width rear-mounted carbon fibre wing, roof-mounted air scoop, a significantly larger front splitter and rear diffuser.

The Revolution features reworked suspension, engine cooling, and digital telemetry alongside dive planes ahead of each front wheel that channel air to improve grip at turn-in.

A Revolution coupe confirmed the Venom F5’s status as ‘America’s Hypercar’ in March this year by setting a new production car lap record of 2:10.90 at Circuit of The Americas.

The company then turned its engineering focus to a push towards the car’s 300mph plus (482km/h) v-max, building on the 272mph (437km/h) set during its development. Continuing its evolution, Hennessey set a production car World Record speed achieving 222mph (357km/h) in the standing half mile.

Hennessey says it has already built and delivered 24 Venom F5 Coupe, Roadster, and Revolution models to customers across the US and around the world with a further 16 orders booking out build slots through 2024 and 2025.

Exact customer specification costs remain private, the complete build price for each Stealth Series car exceeds $US3 million ($A4.46 million).
