HOLDEN has added limited edition versions of its Barina and Astra small cars to its burgeoning Equipe family.
The smallest Holden to wear this special edition badge, the Barina Equipe hatchback, with a 1.4 litre engine, is available in three and five-door configurations. Only 1200 examples have been produced.
The list of added features, representing a claimed $2000 in extra value, comprises unique five-spoke 14-inch alloy wheels, air-conditioning, front power windows and Equipe badge.
The Barina three-door retails for $16,490 while the five-door is $18,490. Add $2000 to either for the four-speed automatic transmission.
Based on the 1.8-litre Astra City, the Astra Equipe delivers a claimed $2500 worth of extra features including unique seven-spoke 15-inch alloy wheels, foglights, Equipe badging, air-conditioning and cruise control. Quantities have been restricted to 3000 units.
The Astra Equipe three-door retails for $20,490, the five-door and sedan for $21,490 in five-speed manual form. Again, add $2000 to each for the auto option.
Holden By Design is also offering a number of extras for the Astra. A rear spoiler for the three-door adds $535, while the five-door and sedan can be optioned with a $3566 kit which includes 16-inch HBD alloy wheels, side skirts, rear skirt, front fascia and chrome exhaust extension.
Holden is also offering Equipe versions of the Commodore, Vectra and four-wheel drive Jackaroo.
