THE convertible shares its suspension system with the rest of the Astra range, although it is fitted with the sports set-up also standard on the SRi. At the front it is an independent arrangement by MacPherson struts with coil springs, gas dampers and an anti-roll bar, while the rear employs a torsion beam with trailing arms, coil springs and gas dampers.
