THE styling changes might be subtle - look for the high-mounted tail-lights for the most obvious clue to the new generation - however, the all-new Barina is longer, wider and taller than its predecessor and has significantly more interior room. Shoulder width is extended by 80mm in the three-door and 75mm in the five-door. Front seat occupants have 15mm more headroom. Legroom in the rear is stretched a further 6mm. Furthermore, interior presentation, engine performance and driving dynamics have also improved. Specification levels have altered substantially, too, with uncommon features such as steering wheel-mounted controls and anti-whiplash front head restraints introduced across the range.
