FRONT seat occupants in the SRi are treated to sports bucket seats with greater bolstering and, on the centre seat panels, grey cloth trim with pastel-coloured flecks. The bolstering and doors have a solid grey cut of cloth. As with the standard three-door model, neither front seat has a tilt/slide function to assist access to the rear seats. The front seats do, however, have anti-whiplash head restraints, force-limiting seatbelts, pyrotechnic pretensioners and sash height adjustment. The driver's seat can be adjusted for height, too. All seating positions have anti-submarining ramps and, bowing to public pressure, Holden has introduced a three-point seatbelt in the centre-rear position. SRi is also the first in the range to offer rear head restraints. The rear seatback splits 60/40, is reinforced and has a hinge locking system designed to protect against a shifting load. Child seat anchorage points are located in the rear seatback - the optimum position for a hatch.
