Looking for a go-anywhere vehicle that can seat seven?
Holden’s Colorado 7 costs less than the default-setting Toyota Prado and is more modern than the conceptually similar Mitsubishi Challenger and Nissan Pathfinder.
The 7 shares much with its one-tonne ute namesake – but the workhorse’s leaf-sprung suspension has been replaced by a five-link rear axle with coil springs for a more refined ride and the wagon interior has been laid out to provide plenty of space for two rows of rear passengers.
We took the top-spec LTZ version on a summer road-trip, loaded up with four adults and their camping gear to clock up around 3000 kilometres.
