RODEO runs on a semi-elliptic leaf spring rear-end with gas pressurised shock absorbers, with heavy-duty springs fitted to 4x4 cab-chassis models.
The front-end is fitted with independent wishbone arms and torsion bar springs with gas pressurised shock absorbers and an ati-roll bar.
The suspension geometry varies depending on the choice of engine and driveline, with high-rise settings applied to all 4x4 vehicles and 4x2 V6 petrol vehicles.
The ride in the Rodeo is fair to good on all surfaces. Light commercial vehicles are not designed to perform handling manoeuvres in the way a passenger car does and they generally perform better with a light load in the rear to help settle the firm and sometimes reactive rear springs.
