HOLDEN has filled a significant gap in its product line-up with the all-new light-sized Trax crossover, entering a market segment that has taken off this year with new arrivals and increasingly strong demand from Australian car buyers.
Based on the Barina hatch, the high-riding Trax combines urban-centred everyday practicality with the promise of adventure outside the city limits. There is no four-wheel-drive system, and not much help in other areas to push too far off the beaten track, but this is unlikely to deter would-be buyers.
It’s got the looks, and our first drive reveals it has plenty of other strong points in its favour.
