HONDA Motor Europe has announced it will unveil a Civic Type R concept at next week’s Geneva motor show.
No pictures have been released, but the Japanese maker says Honda Motor Company’s president and CEO, Takeo Fukui, and Honda Racing F1 Team driver Jenson Button will unveil the new model.
Said to provide a glimpse of the styling direction for the production version due to appear in 2007, the Type R concept is based on the eighth-generation Civic, which was released here in sedan guise only last month.
Honda Australia has confirmed it is currently investigating the feasibility of importing the UK-built Civic hatch and Type R to join the sedan on sale here.
