HR-V uses 23x282mm front disc brakes and 35x220mm rear drums, also seen on the larger CR-V four-wheel drive. There's also anti-lock brakes with Electronic Brake Force Distribution (EBD is currently not available on the five-door).

The ABS system, derived from Accord, is restricted to the three-door Sport model.
