THE luggage compartment in the Insight liftback is heavily compromised by the nickel hydride battery pack and IMA (integrated motor assist) power control unit that occupy most of the available space. A small, 43-litre storage box is built into the floor above the space-saver spare wheel. All other items must be stowed on the waist-high "floor" with the use of a cargo net and four tie-down hooks. All up, 139 litres of space is available. The liftback has a glass panel to assist with reversing or parking. A boot light is also provided.
