THE last Integra tended to look a little tall and narrow, and the latest version suffers a similar proportional deficit. It looks okay though, and with the Type R add-ons makes a clear statement of its abilities. Honda treads the middle ground here, stopping short of cars like the outlandish Mitsubishi Evo VI. It's the thinking person's club racer. The Type R can be picked from regular Integras with its prominent rear spoiler, chin spoiler and differently finished 16-inch wheels. Honda says the Integra is the most aerodynamic car in its class but doesn't quote a figure, merely saying the new car is four per cent better than the previous model. The coefficient of lift is also said to be less, improving high-speed stability, while the side and rear glass is thinner and lighter than in the previous model.
