THE latest Integra series replaces a long-running model that was first seen here in 1993. The latest Type R version is fully integrated into the model line-up and has a more homogenous feel than previously. The last model was a take-no-prisoners road rocket. Today's version is more refined, its Recaro interior looks less of an afterthought and it speaks a more luxurious language. The new, larger 2.0-litre engine is as big a thrill as ever - and complemented beautifully by the new six-speed gearbox - but the ride quality still rules out the Type R as a handy urban runabout. Which suits most buyers perfectly. No air-conditioning is a bit of a surprise in the Type R, because climate control is standard in the cheaper base model.
