HSV has launched a limited-edition version of its Astra-based turbocharged four-cylinder VXR, which is called the Nurburgring Edition in honour of the mightiest race circuit in the world.
Production in Europe has been limited to 835 – because the car recorded a lap time at the German track of eight minutes and 35 seconds – and only 20 examples are coming to Australia, the first of which landed this week and is available now.
It sells for $44,990, which is $2000 more than the mechanically identical regular VXR, and comes with bigger 18-inch wheels with ultra low-profile tyres, carbonfibre-look interior inserts and unique graphics.
