THE Hummer H3 finally has been launched in Australia and it is going to stir controversy among those who may think it serves as a reminder of US Foreign Policy in the Middle East and an icon of vehicles that contribute heavily to global warming. Those who don’t care for the big picture and just want a SUV that stands out, they will certainly get that with the H3. Putting its perceived image aside, the H3 shows that - while it has a way to go - that GM is slowly improving its methods of building its vehicles for RHD markets, and that it hasn’t lost its touch with building a truck that’ll really work off-road. Whether those attributes are enough to sell a $50k SUV in a hotly contested market is another thing.
