Getz gets a tweak

HYUNDAI has made some minor improvements to its Getz light car, lowering the gearing of its 1.5-litre GL manual model for better acceleration and increasing power output of its 1.3-litre XL from 60kW to 62.5kW.

With the latter, which stems from a compression ratio increase (9.5 to 10.0:1) and engine electronic control module recalibration, fuel consumption also reduces to 5.7 and 6.8 L/100km for manual and automatic models respectively (down from 6.5/7.2 L/100km) on the ADR 81/01 standard.
