JUST five of Jaguar’s range-topping XJR Portfolio sedans are heading to Australia from this month – the last hurrah for the current X350-series XJ, ahead of the MY08 facelift due around September.
Priced from $239,900, the Portfolio is based on the XJR 4.2 Supercharged model, which means buyers receive Jaguar’s 298kW/553Nm 4.2-litre supercharged V8 powerplant that helps the aluminium-bodied sedan hit the 100km/h mark from standstill in 5.3 seconds.
For the $20,000 premium over the $219,900 XJR, the Portfolio adds aluminium vertical side vents, a bright mesh grille, 20-inch five-spoke alloy wheels and chrome tailpipe trims.
On the inside there is ‘Aluminium Weave’ veneer trim, an aluminium transmission surround, ‘Warm Charcoal’ leather upholstery with contrasting stitching, and leather-edged floor mats.
