JAGUAR Australia has released a second special-edition XKR Portfolio, limited to just 10 coupes nationally from this month, following the sell-out success of the 2007 XKR Portfolio.
Coated in “shadow grey” metallic paint and featuring milled aluminium side power vents, the 2008 XKR Portfolio rides on 20-inch “Selena” shadow-finish alloy wheels with red “Heritage” wheel badges, which hide a high-performance Alcon braking system claimed to be the largest and most powerful ever fitted to a production Jaguar.
Exclusive cabin features include premium Alston headlining, a Bowers and Wilkins premium sound system with Kevlar speakers, a leather-trimmed polished alloy gear lever and selector gate surround, “engine spin aluminium” highlights and leather-edged Portfolio floor mats.
There’s also the choice of soft-grain leather trim choices: “warm charcoal with cranberry contrast twin-needle stitching” or “ivory and charcoal leather trim with slate blue contrast twin-needle stitching”.
Produced by Jaguar Special Vehicles and, the newest Portfolio is priced at $246,000, $17,700 more than the standard XKR coupe ($228,300) with which it shares its 306kW/560Nm supercharged 4.2-litre V8.
