JAGUAR will unveil its supercharged all-aluminium XKR coupe at the British motor show in London next month.
Although few details are known, the XKR is expected to develop almost 300kW from its supercharged 4.2-litre V8, reportedly giving it a 0-100km/h time of around five seconds and a top speed of more than 250km/h.
The XKR is designed to compete against the BMW M6 and Mercedes-Benz SL55 AMG.
In keeping with R attributes, the XKR is expected to have a larger air intake, unique grille, louvred bonnet and flared wheel arches.
An even more powerful XKR-R is also believed to be in the pipeline.
Jaguar Australia will launch the XK coupe and convertible next month, with the XKR tipped to join the line-up early next year.
