THE interior is predominantly dark and the plastic quality disappointingly firm - not much slush-moulding in evidence around the dashboard. The gloom is relieved by chrome-look plastic which is inserted on the two top spokes of the four-spoke steering wheel. Within these bands are housed cruise control and audio functions. The metal look is continued in the interesting ring-pull doorhandles, the gearlever bezel and the audio, air-con and ashtray surround. Two oval air-conditioning ducts sit at the top of the vertical centre console and are surrounded by a dimpled cover with the audio, air-conditioning, ashtray, lighter and a 12-volt power outlet descending below. A trip computer and courtesy lights are mounted in an overhead console. The trip computer provides compass direction, outside temperature, average and instant fuel consumption, distance to empty, odometer and time elapsed.
