THE Grand Cherokee's steering system is by power assisted recirculating ball and is not a carry-over system from the previous model. The steering gear is all-new. Chrysler says repositioned linkages improve steering wheel feel and response while providing improved on-centre characteristics. The company also claims the system feels similar to a rack and pinion system in a regular sedan.
