CARNIVAL'S 2.5-litre 24-valve quad-cam V6 all-alloy engine hails from Rover in the UK and features a vibration-resistant block and an electronically controlled variable flow intake system. It produces 132kW at 6000rpm and 220Nm at 4000rpm, and powers the front wheels. A top speed of 185km/h is claimed, but performance is dulled by the 1760kg-plus kerb weight and tall gearing of the four-speed automatic transmission.
