IT IS amazing that just four years ago, the entire Kia range bar the kooky Soul felt like deathly dull down-market versions of their corresponding Hyundai cousins.
Then came a design revolution, appealing cabins and great packaging – meaning all that has been missing is a car that keen drivers can sink their teeth into.
That changed with the recent launch of the budget Koup turbo, and changes even more with the new, more upmarket Pro_cee’d GT reviewed here.
It might have a daft name, and it isn’t quite a hot-hatch in the Golf GTI way, but the Euro-designed, engineered and built turbo three-door coupe heralds yet another new chapter in South Korean firm’s coming of age. Kia, please don’t stop now.
