KIA has sharpened the value of its Sorento large SUV with a kit-boosting Family Pack now standard across the range.

All variants of the South Korean car-maker's popular high-rider get the pet and child-friendly extras, which add $3400 of value but current pricing is not affected.

Kia has also confirmed driveaway pricing of $39,990 for the Si petrol automatic, while the cheapest diesel is the Si manual $41,490 before the range tops out with the oil-burning Platinum auto $52,790 driveaway.

The Family Pack adds a range of accessories to protect the Sorento from day to day wear and tear with an alloy nudge bar to prevent low impact scrapes and scratches, while side-steps aid smaller occupants getting in and out.

On the inside the Sorento cabin is protected with a cargo mat to preserve load bay trims and carpet, while a Weathersheild window deflector set prevents rain and wind entering open windows while cruising at speed.

A tow-bar set completes the Family Pack for hauling trailers or a caravan.
