LAMBORGHINI has responded to recent press speculation that it had cancelled plans to produce the Estoque sports sedan concept by revealing it is yet to decide whether its first four-door model will reach production.
If produced alongside the two-door Gallardo and Murcielago coupes, the Estoque would be the Italian supercar-maker’s first four-seater model, as previewed by the concept that appeared at the 2008 Paris motor show last October.
“As stated when the car was shown, Lamborghini believes that if a third model line should ever be added to its product line-up, a four-door luxury performance saloon could be a logical product strategy,” said Automobili Lamborghini in a press statement issued today (March 24).
“No decision has been made to produce the Estoque.”
