THE Italian stallion’s latest sensation, the Gallardo, was shown in Australia for the first time at the Sydney motor show, where the local Lamborghini importer also announced pricing.
A direct rival for the Ferrari 360 Maranello, Gallardo will be priced at $399,000 for the six-speed manual and $424,500 for the semi-automatic E-Gear model when they go on sale here in January.
The local importer already has 27 deposits for Gallardo, little brother to the $623,416 Murcielago, which is powered by a mid-mounted 373kW/510Nm V10 mated to an all-wheel drive chassis.
