TWIN front airbags, four-channel anti-lock brakes and four-wheel electronic traction control are standard on the XE wagon. All five seating positions have individual lap/sash seatbelts and adjustable headrests. An under-bonnet inertia switch automatically unlocks the doors and isolates the fuel pump on petrol versions if there is an accident.
