Value boost for LR Discovery, Range Rover Sport

LAND ROVER Australia has pumped more than $20,000 worth of equipment into its Discovery SE and Range Rover Sport SE to create two MY20 special editions available exclusively this quarter.

Going on sale on New Year’s Day and only available until March 31, the special editions have been jam packed full of extra fruit at no extra cost over the standard cars.

The special edition MY20 Discovery SE (fitted with the 225kW 3.0-litre supercharged V6 diesel engine) is still priced from $99,749 plus on-road costs but adds the Driver Assist Pack boasting blind spot assist, surround-view monitor, adaptive cruise control with steering assist and high-speed emergency braking.

Extra goodies include four-zone air-conditioning, seven-seat versatility (adult-sized), heated front seats, head-up display, 20-inch ‘style 5011’ five-spoke, gloss sparkle silver, split-spoke alloy wheels, electric sunroof with tilt and slide front glass and fixed panoramic rear glass, keyless entry and powered tailgate.

Stepping things up to the special edition Range Rover Sport SE (from $108,401 plus ORC) brings the familiar choice of either the 183kW or 225kW oil-burning V6 and even more added kit.

Blind spot assist, adaptive cruise control, driver condition monitor, high-speed emergency braking, lane keep assist, traffic sign recognition and an adaptive speed limiter are all included as part of the Driver Pro Pack – all fitted as standard on the special addition.

On top of the already fruitful pack comes keyless entry, head-up display, sliding panoramic roof, digital radio, 22-inch ‘Style 5004’ five-spoke, gloss black, split-spoke alloy wheels, surround-view monitor, black exterior pack and carpet mats.

Land Rover Australia managing director Mark Cameron said the added equipment didn’t just enhance the value of the vehicles, it had also improved their versatility and safety.

“We’ve taken two of our most competitively-priced, highly-specified vehicles and made them even more appealing by adding an amazing amount of extra equipment without increasing their prices,” he said.

“The great news is that all this extra equipment comes at no extra cost to buyers, so dramatically increases their overall value and appeal,” he added.

Both the Discovery SE and Range Rover Sport SE special editions will be available until March 31, 2020, though only while stocks last according to Land Rover Australia.
