WHILE offering improved dynamic attributes over its lacklustre MK1 predecessor, the latest Lexus ES300 leaves the enthusiast slightly chilled. Unlike its European rivals - or even the in-house Vienta Touring series - it fails to stir the soul. It is not a driver's car but remains quiet, well laid out and equipped and, at slow speeds at least, manages to ride comfortably and silently. And the quality is outstanding.
