- Mercedes-Benz notched up a record sales year in Australia last year with a combined passenger car and SUV tally of 37,068 units, significantly more than its compatriot German rivals Audi (22,011) and BMW (23,619), and enough to secure 12th place in the market overall.
- In total, Mercedes racked up 42,489 new registrations in 2017 (including 5421 light-commercial vehicles) – up 4.2 per cent on the previous year – while its passenger car and SUV result marked a 3.1 per cent increase.
