MASERATI’S Quattroporte flagship has been given a new lease on life with the inclusion of a twin-turbo petrol V6, aimed at increasing the catchment of potential customers for the brand.
The Italian marque sees the new entry-level petrol model as one for the customer who doesn’t need the neck-snapping performance of the GTS flagship or even the pumped-up S, but still wants the exclusive craftsmanship of an Italian chariot.
While the new forced-induction $215,000 plus on-roads V6 is far from sedate, it will appeal to the more genteel end of the Maserati spectrum.
