MERCEDES-BENZ presented the AMG-tickled Maybach 57 S at Geneva last week, a more powerful and individualised version of the Series 57 sedan.
Billed as the world’s fastest series-production saloon in its segment, the Maybach 5.7 S has a 6.0-litre V12 twin-turbo engine which outputs 450kW of power and an electronically limited 1000Nm of torque peaking between 2000rpm and 4000rpm. It is claimed to reach 100km/h from rest in five seconds.
It has an uprated chassis to handle such extravagant outputs, with suspension also tuned to retain the driving comfort expected of the super-luxury brand.
Exterior details include monochrome paintwork in black or silver, 20-inch multi-spoke wheels, a new grille, reworked rear valance and re-designed tailpipes.
