Fuel-frugal turbo-diesel for Mazda6

MAZDA has used the Australian International Motor Show in Sydney to confirm that it will start selling a turbo-diesel Mazda6.

It will become the first volume brand to offer turbo-diesel power, via a 105kW/360Nm 2.0-litre MZR CD-engined, manual-only Mazda6.

The car is due in showrooms in the second quarter of 2006.
