WHILE not the most powerful in its class, the good-performing and economical Millenia gains full points for its use of interesting technology in the form of the Miller cycle engine. The instrument panel is a sight to behold, offering wonderfully clear vision of the essential gauges and dials in all light conditions thanks to the "Optitron" illumination. The Bose sound system is a beauty, featuring in-dash six-CD slot, AM/FM radio/cassette and superb sound quality through the nine speakers. The rear seat offers good comfort for two small-to-medium adults however the absence of a three-point seatbelt and headrest in the centre-rear position is disappointing. The front cockpit is luxuriously appointed and comfortable, though misses a few items of its rivals such as head airbags, trip computer, steering wheel-mounted stereo controls, semi-automatic gear selection with the auto and optional sat-nav.
