ENGINE speed sensitive, power assisted rack and pinion steering is standard on all Tributes. V6 models have a unique steering gear ratio of 15.0, compared to the Ford Escape which uses a slower 16.7 ratio. The V6 steering wheel goes from lock to lock in a quick 2.7 turns, while the turning circle is a rather wide 11.2 metres.
