THE C200K employs the familiar 2.0-litre supercharged four-cylinder engine previously seen in a variety of Mercedes-Benz products, including its closest brethren, the C-class sedan. Equipped with an Eaton belt-driven supercharger, the inline four with four valves per cylinder measures 1998cc with a significantly over-square bore and stroke of 89.9 x 78.7mm, which means its capable of quickly generating revs and power. Benz claims 120kW at 5300rpm and 230Nm of torque from 2500rpm for the supercharged 2.0-litre, a top speed of 230km/h, a 0-100km/h sprint in 9.3 seconds and average fuel consumption of 9.5L/100km.
