LITTLE has changed since the arrival of Mirage in 1996, save for a small facelift in September, 1998, and the introduction of a VR-X limited edition in late-1999. The '98 facelift brought a new front bumper design which incorporates a single bar grille and multi-parabola headlights. From the rear, the Mirage received a revised rear combination lamp treatment. The name 'Mirage' was branded across the tail gate and the rear windscreen wiper became standard. Three new external colours were added to the range: Iris Blue, Nares Blue and Timber Green.
