THE Triton has shouldered much of the sales load for Mitsubishi’s return to positive territory on the balance sheet.
It’s been able to find its way into many a tradie’s driveways and its refined road manners mean the rest of the family don’t mind it either.
A new, quieter powerplant scores points for quiet effectiveness and for its breadth of ability, as well as competitive price, all of which are strong selling points for a work vehicle that plays nicely with others too.
Sales have come off the boil a little in the face of renewed competition from Holden among others, but Mitsubishi is confident its light commercial star’s sheen hasn’t dramatically faded and it sent a truckload to the Flinders Ranges to show off its recreational skills.
