NISSAN has come clean on its contender for Japan’s 2008 Super GT Series by revealing its GT500-specification GT-R, the first racing version of the company’s all-new super-coupe.
The GT-R racer made its global public debut at the Tokyo Auto Salon at Makuhari Messe over January 11-13, and will re-appear at the country’s other major annual custom car show, the Osaka Auto Messe 2008 at Intecks over February 9-11.
It introduces a new works livery that will be featured across Nissan motorsport activities in 2008.
The track-ready GT-R’s technical specs will be divulged on January 31, when Nissan reveals its full range of global motorsport activities for season 2008.
