LIKE any volume-selling car-maker in the Australian market, Nissan offers a diverse range of models for a wide range of customers, applications and budgets, but where the Japanese brand differs is in its halo model.
While many other brands cap-off a line-up of sensible and practical vehicles with a flagship that is a little more effervescent, Nissan decided to skip the steps sporty, sexy and fun, and cut straight to downright crazed mania with its GT-R hyper coupe.
Godzilla really is the perfect unofficial name for Nissan’s halo performance model.
The current GT-R picked up from the R34 Skyline GT-R in 2007 when it dropped the Skyline moniker and became the mental V6 turbocharged four-wheel drive monster that has attracted a cult following for the past nine years, but Nissan has now treated it to a significant update.
