Nissan’s Aussie-made accessories success

ALMOST three-quarters of total revenue received from all available accessories for the Nissan Navara are from Australian manufactured products, said Nissan Australia this week, highlighting the success of Victorian-based supplier, HSP.

Included on the best-seller list are Nissan Genuine accessories including bullbars, sports bars, and tow bars designed in Australia and for Australian conditions, as well as HSP-supplied electric roll top (tonneau) covers and tailgate central locking for the D23-series Nissan Navara Dual Cab.

Nissan Australia says the accessories are designed, engineered and manufactured in Australia, offering rugged and practical alternatives for Navara owners at work or play.

“We know how important accessories are to our Navara owners, which is why we’re always looking to grow our extensive catalogue with options that make Navara ownership even more rewarding,” said Nissan Oceania’s aftersales director Michael Hill.

“HSP is an Australian company that has been producing quality equipment for three decades, with a wide range of Navara-specific accessories adding further versatility to this proven workhorse.”

The HSP Electric Roll Top Cover (from $3806) is fully automatic and can even be operated remotely via the key fob or HSP app. Two versions are currently available, each with an internal emergency release function.

Also available is the HSP Rear Tailgate Central Locking system (from $459), allowing the rear gate to be locked or unlocked from the buttons on the key fob, rather than having to manually lock it.

All Nissan Genuine and HSP accessories may be purchased and fitted at any Nissan dealership and are covered by a three-year warranty.
