ALL NAVARA 4x4 models share the same suspension attributes.
Nissan, like most others, uses an independent double wishbone configuration with torsion bar springs and an anti-roll bar at the front, and a rigid axle with leaf springs and heavy duty overriders on the rear.
ST-R and DX 4x4 models get a limited-slip rear differential and a final drive ratio of 4.375 with either engine. Manual free-wheeling hubs are fitted to the front axles.
Navara 4x4s have a ground clearance of 215mm, an overall height of 1700mm and require a 12.0-metre turning circle.
The approach and departure and angels are adequate though these are reduced considerably by the rear-step bumper on the ST-R models.
Bash plates under the vehicle are fitted but not up to the standard of a HiLux, which is seriously well protected.
