NISSAN believes its Pathfinder seven-seat large SUV has been ignored by some automotive publications in favour of its higher-selling rivals, specifically the acclaimed new Mazda CX-9 and the strong-selling Toyota Kluger.

It is hoping a mid-life refresh will put it back in to contention with those two strong competitors as well as the Hyundai Santa Fe and Kia Sorento.

The update includes subtle changes inside and out, but is that enough to keep the Pathie front of buyer’s minds?
