Zaroot is za new SUV

THE name is a shocker, but the vision is splendid. Well, at least that’s what Nissan would have us believe with its Zaroot concept car, which is the Japanese constructor’s idea of how crossover wagons could look in the future.

Said to combine traditional 4WD values – that is, serious off-road ability – with “futuristic, sporty styling that marks it out as something different”, Zaroot combines familiar Nissan themes such as squared-off design cues with pentagonal, gull-wing doors and the “arch graphic” roof line seen on other concept cars from the company in recent times.
