PEDDERS Suspension & Brakes (Pedders) has been awarded Volkswagen Commercial Vehicles Premium Partner Status, making it the first Australian automotive aftermarket company to partner with the brand.

Pedders and Volkswagen Commercial Vehicles will partner on various suspension, brake and load-carrying solutions across the Volkswagen Commercial Vehicle range on a global scale, including the new Volkswagen Transporter and Amarok.

A Volkswagen Commercial Vehicles Premium Partner Status certificate was presented by Christian Hahn and Nils Mueller from Volkswagen Commercial Vehicles to Pedders team members Steve Broad and Alex Gibson from its International Sales and Operations team, as well as Tony Robinson Senior Executive of Innovation, Design and Manufacturing.

The certificate was presented at the 2024 IAA Transport Commercial Vehicles Show in Hannover, Germany, last week where Pedders and Volkswagen Commercial Vehicles exhibited a prototype rear load solution on the new Volkswagen Transporter supporting the major global launch of the vehicle.

Pedders says its prototype suspension solution is one of the many collaborations between the company and Volkswagen Commercial Vehicles currently in development, the company saying it looks forward to working with Volkswagen Commercial Vehicles on future projects.

“We are thrilled to be partnering with Volkswagen Commercial Vehicles on load-carrying suspension and brake solutions,” said Pedders Suspension and Brakes managing director Scott Pedder.

“Volkswagen Group are one of the largest OEM automotive manufacturers globally and we are excited by the prospect of partnering on future projects.

“I would like to acknowledge the many people and departments involved in bringing together this fantastic partnership, including Product and Quality, Supply Chain and the International Sales and Operations Team.”
