THE 206 has a Built-in System Interface (BSI) in the dashboard which controls several electronic functions. The BSI controls the engine immobiliser, electric windows, remote central locking, windscreen wipers, all interior lighting, rear window defrost, as well as lights-on and ignition key warning buzzers. The system reduces the number of cables and interconnections, which over time can generate malfunctions. It also saves space and weight and allows optional extras like satellite navigation.
