AUSTRALIA’S population continues to grow at the fastest rate in the developed world: there are around 300,000 births per year here.
Statistically, a growing number of these babies can expect Mum and/or Dad to cart them about in some variety of crossover SUV, with sales of these high-riders on the boom.
But what about the humble people-mover, that less-glamorous cousin that is arguably even better at shuttling hordes of kids around and about?
Here we test the new (to Australia, anyway) Peugeot 5008, which is appropriate since many argue that the modern people-mover movement began in France more than 25 years ago, when rival Renault unveiled the original segment-defining Espace
At $36,990, the Peugeot is one of the cheaper options out there, and brings with it the Euro cache a Honda Odyssey cannot.
But is it any good?
