THE 407 Coupe shown earlier this month will be Peugeot’s Holy Grail at this year’s Frankfurt auto show. But another "cup" has also turned up.
With the 20Cup concept, the French manufacturer has produced a three-wheel (single rear wheel) two-seater roadster which highlights the marque’s motor-sport intentions as well technological advances it claims will feature in future production models.
The latter include a new petrol engine built in collaboration with BMW and producing a maximum 125kW of power and 240Nm of torque. It is mated to a sequential six-speed manual gearbox controlled via paddles under the steering wheel.
A 206 sedan, to be built in Teheran, Iran, will also be unveiled. Export deliveries begin next March, however Australia is not on the list of estinations.
Peugeot Automobiles Australia advises that the booted 206 is slated for middle Eastern and eastern European markets only.
