FEW concept cars carry a designer’s bold ideas to the metal. In the main, the low-slung, fantastic machines that have people’s hearts beating fast at motor shows are watered down to utilitarian, practical lumps of metal, foam and plastic by the time they fall in the grasp of real-world buyers., , But not every time. Peugeot’s fashionable RCZ to this day remains faithful to the concept car that heralded its arrival in Australia three years ago and added a bright light to the mainly dull mix of cars crawling their way to and from work every day., , May brings a mid-life refresh to the $58,990 RCZ. However, it is a slightly less faithful workover, with the low-slung coupe losing a little more of the Le Mans look that set the benchmark for what remains today as one of the best-looking two-doors on the market., , Fashion is pain, though, and the downside is that the RCZ will cost you more than before, even if it is more richly equipped., , The big question is if it is worth the extra $4000.
