PORSCHE Cars Australia has issued pricing for the all-wheel drive Carrera 4 versions of the 911 that go on sale here in November.
The four new C4 variants, comprising both coupe and cabriolet versions of the Carrera 4 and Carrera 4S, bring to eight the total number of 911 variants since the 997-series model went on sale here in September 2004.
The 239kW 3.6-litre boxer-powered Carrera 4 coupe will be priced from $210,200 ($218,200 auto), while its 261kW 3.8-litre Carrera 4S coupe sibling will be priced at $236,100 ($244,100 auto).
Meantime, the soft-top Carrera will be available at $229,900 ($237,900 auto) for the C4 and $255,800 ($263,800 auto) for the C4S.
While the C4 coupe sprints to 100km/h in 5.1 seconds en route to a 280km/h top speed, the C4S coupe claims 0-100km/h acceleration of just 4.8 seconds and a top speed of 288km/h.
Similarly, the C4 Cabriolet offers 0-100km/h acceleration of 5.3 seconds and a C4 coupe-matching 280km/h top speed. The C4S Cabriolet is claimed to deliver 0-100km/h acceleration of 4.9 seconds, on its way to the same 288km/h top speed as the C4S coupe.
"The addition of all-wheel drive safety and stability, superb grip and braking, plus a more muscular design takes the famed 911 to an even more sophisticated level," said PCA managing director, Michael Winkler.
"The Carrera 4 is about maximising driver control across a wider range of driving situations."
